You are a New Freshman If You:

    • Are a graduating senior in an high school or home school program.
    • Graduated less than five years ago and haven't started college yet.
    • Earned qualifying scores on the GED, HiSET or TASC and would have graduated in the past five years.
    • Have earned less than 30 transferrable hours from prior institution(s).

Admissions Steps

    1. Apply online: Complete the admissions application.
    2. Submit your high school transcript: East Georgia accepts transcripts through electronic transcript services such as , Parchment, National Student Clearninghouse, or Scoir. Please do not fax or email transcripts. You may mail your transcripts or drop them off in person. They will be considered official as long as they remain in the original, sealed envelope from the school.
      • Haven鈥檛 graduated? Send us your current transcript. You will be requested to send your final transcript with graduation date once you鈥檝e completed high school.
      • Took Dual Enrollment courses? Sumbmit a transcript by contact the registrar's office at the institution you earned the credit.
    3. If you have SAT or ACT scores, they can be sent to EGSC from  or .

    4. Verification of lawful presence: If you want to be considered for in-state tuition or receive financial aid, please submit your verification of lawful presence.

Submit your official high school transcript through GAFutures, Parchment or request an official transcript from your counselor. If you have enrolled in any college, ask the college/s to send us an official transcript.

If you have Dual Enrollment Credit

If you have completed dual enrollment credit by the time you apply to EGSC, please request an official college transcript to be sent to EGSC directly from the college where you were taking your dual enrollment credit.

If you have dual enrolled at multiple colleges, please request that an official transcript from each school be sent to EGSC.

If You Were Internationally Educated

Send an official National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES) or Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) evaluated document-by-document high school transcript or Certificate of Education. A GPA calculation is not required. The evaluation must be sent directly from the agency to the Admissions Office. Find a full list of or members.

Complete 17 units of high school course work.

Students will enroll in courses which satisfy any deficiencies in science, social science, or foreign language during the student's first and each subsequent semester of enrollment until the deficiencies are satisfied.

Test scores are not required for acceptance; however all applicants are asked to submit any and all test scores they may have in order to determine placement or exemption in Learning Support courses. Placement or exemption in Learning Support courses are based on the highest test scores that we receive and must be in the same test (Accuplacer, SAT, or ACT).

Submit your verification of lawful presence documentation if you wish to pay in-state tuition.

    • This is not required if you pay out-of-state tuition.
    • Out-of-state tuition is much higher than in-state tuition. Estimate costs.
    • Admission to EGSC is not contingent upon proof of lawful presence.
    • If you no longer wish to be considered for tuition at the in-state rate, please contact us at admissionsFREEOMNIUPDATE so that we can remove the requirement from your record.

All new students (freshman, transfers, and others) attending in person classes will be required to submit a Certificate of Immunization prior to the first day of classes. The certificate will be kept on file and will be valid throughout the tenure of the student's enrollment.

Students who plan on enrolling in fully online classes or due to conflict with religious beliefs may request an exemption on the immunization form located here.
