This collaborative program between 青青草视频 and Augusta University is designed to accommodate students in Augusta and the surrounding area who do not meet freshman admission requirements at Augusta University.

EGSC students can take classes on Augusta University鈥檚 Summerville campus and, following the completion of 30 credit hours in the program, those with a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.3 or higher can opt to transfer into a bachelor鈥檚 degree program at Augusta University. Capacity-limited Allied Health Science programs have additional admissions requirements that students should research, as applicable to their interests.

Advantages of this program include affordability, better access to student services, smaller class sizes, a student-focused learning environment, experienced faculty and staff, and individualized tutoring and advisement in EGSC鈥檚 Academic Center for Excellence.

Applications to AU are ONLY required if the student intends on taking any co-enrollment courses. This step does not need to completed if all classes will be through EGSC.

  1.  for AU
    • 鈥婼elect Transient as your Application type and select Transient-East Georgia  By selecting this category, Augusta University will not be looking for high school transcripts, test scores, or other Admissions documentation.
    • Students who transfer to AU within two years of completing the application will not have to reapply  when they transfer from EGSC-RU to AU.
  2. Submit co-enrollment form
    This form will be sent to you via email after contacting the EGSC-RU office once registration opens to verify the courses to be enrolled in.

I live in Aiken or Edgefield counties. Can I receive a tuition waiver?
青青草视频 is able to provide a border county waiver to access in state tuition rates for students who maintain domicile in Aiken or Edgefield County in South Carolina. That waiver can be accessed .  Students living in other SC counties, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Florida are eligible for in-state tuition as well.

What is the program curriculum?
EGSC will provide learning support classes in Augusta, as well as classes to make up any High School Curriculum deficiencies and core curriculum courses. Course offerings are based on student demand and faculty availability.  Students are able to complete core curriculum, transferrable to any University System of Georgia school.  Courses are taught face to face, via zoom and/or online.

How is the program structured?
Students will work with their academic advisors to choose their courses. Students enroll through EGSC and generally take 12-15 credit hours per semester.

What if I applied to Augusta University and did not meet the admissions criteria?
Augusta University Admissions will forward the names of first time in college student applicants who do not meet AU admissions criteria to EGSC. Students can sign a form provided by AU Admissions to have their official HS transcript and test scores released to EGSC admissions for  consideration. 
Students will need to complete a separate, official application for admission to EGSC.

Do you have on-campus housing?
On-campus housing is not currently an option for EGSC-Augusta students, however our students can choose to live in student-centered apartment complexes located around the AU campus. There are shuttles around campus that are in close proximity to certain complexes.

Do I have to pay tuition to EGSC and Augusta University?
Students will pay EGSC tuition and fees, which includes Augusta University鈥檚 mandatory and elective fees for amenities such as the University Wellness Center on campus, computer labs, campus meal plans, intramural sports, and more.
